De-Sync!
Summertime! It was always a time to kick back and relax and just kind of let the world go by. I used to lay on my back in the grass and just watch the clouds moving. It was a time to get out of sync with the rest of the year.
Those times don't come the way they used to. The world just has a way of moving-in to every corner of our lives, usurping every calm moment, suddenly demanding action whenever peace seems to be approaching.
What is the news today? Don't you know! Where have you been? You don't like world news? What about Hollywood news? Maybe you like sports news! Whatever, it absorbs us, as we absorb it. Sometimes "it" is our work; a never ending line of requests, demands, and deadlines. So hard to break free.
It's time to De-Sync. Get into a different time zone; change the clock altogether! What, and watch the clouds go by? Yes, that is one thing that you could do.
I learned a lot under the clouds. There are great things going on around me that I never even see, because I am not looking up. As I look up, my mind becomes open to think with a new, enhanced perspective. I become aware of how small and insignificant I am in the universe. I have a need to understand the One who set all of these things in motion.
You may think it was just time wasted, but there are few things that I remember as clearly as those days as a child, watching the clouds float by.
Hint: Feel really small; lay back and look up at the stars!

Yeah I agree...the world's moving way too fast now. We can't have a moment of peace before we get interrupted or something..and yeah looking up at the clouds and stars are a really good way to relax..I'll try it sometime in the future.
I love looking up at the stars. When I see vast scapes of beauty, I find it hard to fathom that some people don't believe in God.
